The error's are win32 registers. which means it's a windows problem. I know this explanation sucks but either reinstal or try using a boot disk,.

Maybe I can shed a little more light. Basicly your code (program) is/has been corrupted. Without knowing the OS and the program you were running, I can't give ya much more than that. Here is the bad news, if this is a re-occuring problem (meaning you can recreat it at will) you need to format the hard drive and re-install. I know thats like killing ants with a baseball bat, but........

I've seen McAfee go crazy before. Its solid with 98se, so there is another program confilcting. You don't have another virus scan going? Nortons? Or that stupid Chip-away bios based scanner? If you have chip-away, turn it off. Also, us msconfig to turn off stuff one by one, its a long slow process, but eventualy you will find out what program it conflicts with. Or, turn off all the boot programs and turn them on one by one. Ether way, make sure you do one at a time.

You should plug your modem into your phone line. It's proberly them trying to download your hard drive while your booting up ;P
Try downloading a new version
