    Linux-Busy Modem

This is new to me. I just tried using my linux OS to connect to the internet and when I did the Kppp connection utility said my modem was busy. Do I just need to configure my modem settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx. Peace.

Its been ages since i had to deal with modems in linux but, if I recall, you have to tell it which serial port your modem is on, if you don't it could be trying to dial in thru your mouse or something....if i recall linux comes with a modemtool or something to that effect program that will allow you to sort thru all the ports
    Ignorance is a voluntary misfortune
