56k@56k?
I was looking at some Windows site and I came across this article http://members.aol.com/axcel216/56k.htm. Is this possible?

Some very good advice, make sure the drivers / firmware are the latest etc, I'm not 100% sure about the re-wireing bit though.

It is possible to get 56 kilobits - not kilobytes... Theoretically, 56 divided by 8 = 7 so 7K in your browser is the best you can hope to get If you want fast speeds, get broadband, don't mess w/ tweaks But if you have to tweak a little, get MiniSpeed. When I didn't have DSL, it tweaked my speed up some. (Others didn't work very well.) And it is also freeware.

right well you can do all of that but then it comes down to your phone line. i wouldn't worry about re-wireing you house, just get the latest drivers, and firmware and go from there. if you want tru broadband then go with cable, dsl, satelite, stuff like that.
