Why not learn to program them yourself? By the time you learn that, you will have a very useful skill, and a better understanding of how they work. You will also better understand the general area of hacking, as you will have to learn that in order to write your programs. It sure beats being a script kiddie.
Exactly!!! do that.
Well in my opinon hacking programs are stupid, you cannot call yourself a hacker but you can call yourself a SKRIPT=KIDDIE besides those are the most popular types of computer idiots out there.
What are you going to do when you get a computer with no hacking programs on it, are you still going to be ellite! lol, I seriously doubt it. Sooner or later you will realize that programs suck. Most of the programs that are out there you don't need because the operating system already has the same tools.
I could be wrong you could be a good hacker, and programs do have there small advantages. So be more specific. The reason I haven't given any links is because I'm a programmer. lol, lol, lol.
Good luck, also have you ever heard of the anti-terroism act I suggest you look that up if you are in the U.S.

Is it me, or are there a lot of script kiddies that come to AO looking for canned apps?
I remember waay back when I first started to learn VB when I was like 13, I decided to write my own port scanner. It was slow and buggy as hell, but it worked for what I needed it to do.
Is nobody else driven to learn by doing it themselves anymore?

Welcome to the world when hacking involves downloading programs to your Windows box and point and clicking hacking becomes a reality.
Exchange hacker with cracker if you dont like the word in this context.

I can't believe the amount of Skript Kiddies there are these days. It used to be an insult to be called a Skrip kiddie. Is it a new fad to be one now or what? The great irony is that these people spend hours upon days searching sites and posting requests for programs that will do things for them, when they could be spending the same amount of time learning to do it themselves. So they effectively shame themselves because they dont want to remember what they read about? I don't see their logic... Most of them start this business to become popular in an "underground" hacking world; they would get an infinite amount more respect if they took a little more effort and became a true hacker.

The Good Ole' Days
Ahhhh, I remember when I was 13. To tell you the truth I wasn't that big of a script kiddie, right when I got my first programming language (which was warez of course...) I got hooked. From then I've had numerous languages, which is really the best thing to have. Perfection in not one, but two or three programming languages. (For me it was Borland C++, Visual Basic, and Visual C++). But don't get me wrong, i'm not some child prodegy, althogh I'd like to think so at times. I would scour the net searching and searching for just a demo of a program...knowing that [url=http://www.astalavista.com]Astalavista[url] was on my side (which to tell you the truth tought me nothing...until I found texts in there). But I remember this one time, where I couldn't find a crack, or keygen for a certain program. Thats when I stacked up on texts. Got this one book called "Hacking Exposed II" ...whoa, hell of a book, I recomend it to any computer geek out there. I forced myself to read for about 4 to 5 months straight...no programs...no free 'chill' time...nothing but text after text, book after book. I taught myself how to crack, which to tell you the truth isn't quite hard with a programming background. And for a while there, with my knowledge I had just aquired, I became BlackHat. I defaced webpages...cracked programs and distributed...I even went to the extent of building my own webpage (it wasn't one of those dinky clan pages...just me, doing my *evil* deeds ) and posting various things on there. A friend actually, showed my one of my most remembered paths through my cyber-life...
Ethics...heh, I laugh about it now. But I remember when I had none whatsoever. I actually turned from bypassing security to actually trying to build it up. I really dig security now...and graphics, another past time I've come up with to take time away from 'bad things' (at least it started out that way...now I love it...and am getting pretty good at it to if I may say so myself ).
But I'm getting way of point here. What you don't want to do, Alan, is turn into some program craving scripty with no social life and none on the net either. Seriously, don't 'hang around' with online friends who are the same. Just drop them,...you'll make better ones, trust me on this one.
