haha here's some funny network security news that i read at some website..
Organised criminals are using distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks to force online bookmakers into protection rackets, a British security consultancy claims.

haha ok some of u might not think its funny.. but i do.. hahah gangsters earning protection money by DoS.. heheh

In responce to the article that you've provided a link to, the mafia themselves aren't the ones doing the DDoS attacks. I'm sure that they have made arangements with "security specialist" in order to have them do their dirty werk. Do you really thinks that a mob gangsta is gonna waste his/her time sitting at a computer makeing DDoS attacks when they have other "bidness" to attent?

what a great gig that would. kinda like war games with higher steaks.
assumming bookmaking is illegal there, what are the bookmakers gonna do, besides kill you if they catch you, but they don't have the government to help track you down.
