movie player for Red Hat Linux 7.1
i have Red Hat Linux 7.1 running on one my machines..i am looking for a good movie player..please provide me with some good links

I'm assuming that you mean movies in the mpeg format?
Red Hat comes with it's own mpeg player. I forget the name of it and I'm currently using my Windows box so I can't look it up. You'll find it under Red Hat/Multimedia using the KDE desktop..

Personally, I'd go with VLC for playing DVDs (if that's what you mean) or Xine for mpeg/avi/etc files...

hi there guys!
thanks a lot for the replies..ah! yes protocol,though not a frequent user of the KDE or GNOME ,i do occasionally do jump into the GUI..i did try the player that comes with GNOME..however it i think supports only the MPEG format..i want something that is not tie dto just one format..
anyway i have a lot of links mow..thanks everyone
