I think it's nice to know the companies know where their loyalties lie...

Hmmm, I think that is the real reason why certain AV companies changed what they were saying in public, which does give credence to the the original reporting of this. I suspect that they were getting worried about people who were contemplating switching products or recommending other AV companies.
Might be too late though, as I suspect quite a few people will be having second thoughts as to which AV scanner they should use in the future ..... Once bitten, twice shy.

Magic Lantern!
This is a real hot subject and I did hear about it for the first time when I joined AO a while ago. I have tried to read the most of the posts about this subject at AO, and I have to admit that this have frighten me a lot since gouvernment control like this is the first step to a society were "big brother" watch you everywere.
And at last another article about 'Magic Lantern'.
