directorys on my comp
hello i was woundering in maybe it is not html if it is possible for me to use my ip address with directorys to as a link like let say i have 209.123.120.200 and that is my ip address can i say Http:\\209.123.120.200\d: \kazaa\kazaa\I\playboybunny.mp3 as a link is that possiable or no it is not if not what do I need to do differnt i Bet my slashes are wrong

No, you can't just type an IP and directory into your browser and get the person's files. If that was possible, hacking would be called browsing.

no, you can't do that, that would be such an amazingly huge security hole... try a peer-to-peer program or even use the new ICQ shared files option.

no but you can run a web server on your conputer, make a virtual directory that points to that directory or just make that directory the home directory and make that mp3 the default file. if i understood your question correctly. all someone would have to do to get that fiile it go to your ip address with their browser

But.....
I have done that with 'Net Use' command.
'Net Use g: \\192.168.0.100\share_name'

yah I thought you could do it with a net use command I will try it again but thanx to everyone who ans see i thought it was possible. your right hacking would be browsing but isnt that what hacking is anyway
