forgotten password
forgot the password to my apple iBook os 9.2,can anyone tell me how to get around the password?

I haven't used a mac in years but i seem to remember you could hold down the shift key at a particular time when it was loading to prevent any password protection - there's a good chance that "feature" has been disabled for 9.2 tho. Maybe you could boot off the install disc and skip to the password section - maybe not, like i say - its been a while :-)

To bypass the password in OS 9, you simply need to put the system disk in the CD drive and then startup on the CD by holding down the C key. You will then need to trash the user preferences to remove the password and enable you to start up normally.
