where can i read more in depth about port 445? i got ahold of a really simple text about implementation, but i wanna know more about HOW IT WORKS than how to do it....

Sorry - i was trying to be funny there - what you need to do is go to google and search for RFC, request for comments - once you find this you should get all the info you need for port 445

we all see the subject. it looks like you have an smb 'sploit of some sort.
if you want to understand how it works and why, you have to understand the service running on that port.
Thats where RFC's come in. They're in depth discriptions of the standards for that subject.
