    bounce

I was reading Hacking Linux Exposed and it said that you could bouce off servers to get a connection, something like:
    telnet @10.0.0.1@10.0.0.2@10.0.0.3
I was wondering, if someone bounces off my server, will it show on my logs and if I am 10.0.0.3, will I know the origianl ip address?

    Thanks,

    cold_connection

If you pay attention to your system logs, then yes, you should know when almost anything has happened to your box. Unless of course the intruder was smart and cleared them.
