Linux question
I just instaled mandrake and I got it working ok...but the thing is that I have a modem that is not suported. So I'm not sure of how I should get on-line? Any sugestions?

I would go to www.pricewatch.com and order a external modem gos for about 50 bucks. They are stupid easy to install.

could always just report the problem to mandrake and in time...they should hook you up with support for your modem.

Ah the good old winmodem curse. I still have to get around to getting a non-winmodem, Linux with out the internet is like a car without gas.
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.

Go to Google and search for words like:
"<Your modem brand> drivers,linux"
you might be pleasantly surprised.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.
