    Question AO Newsletter 2 Topics

Greetz everyone. Good job on the newsletter everyone.
I was wondering what topics and 'advanced' material was going to be
included in the next newsletter. What topics do you have so far?
Just curious.. hopefully I can think of a good topic to contribute to the
    newsletter.. any ideas or suggestions?

Well Im not sure what Ennis had in mind but if I might be able to put forward some suggestions..

    - how about how one would do a security audit
    - how to plan a "wargame" to practise your security and hacking skills
    - social engineering (what it is and how to defend against it)
    - Physical security (what are the things we often overlook)
    - pros and cons of IPv6
    - how to identify a vulnerability versus system bug and how to create an exploit to point out the vulnerability
    - what happens, generally, when an exploit is used
    - cryptography topics (from latest algorithms to future puzzles)
    - humourous stories as usual, whether security based or computer based
    - what you need to know for security certification and what certifications are out there
    - where to effectively put an IDS, what an IDS does, etc..
    - what is a honeypot and how to use one and where to put one

Of course, any other topics are welcomed. If you have ideas PM me or if you have an article send it to me at msmittens@msmittens.com. =)

Hey I would like to know about if programming is going to be involved in this newsletter
or in the future. I would like to do a COBOL tutorial if possible. I'm sure that people would like to share there knowledge to others about programming or even how to do certain concepts that many other internet sites don't offer.

Yes I know COBOL isn't very popular and many don't like it but it's what I can program in and it's somthing I can share with others.

By all means Free0n, send in an article on programming. As I said, if it's not listed and you have an idea by all means send it in.. COBOL is still used on the AS/400 isn't it? Is there a security aspect to it that might be worthwhile to consider that sometimes programmers forget about?

Just because I didn't list it doesn't mean we don't want it.. just didn't think about it at that time.

Thanks Ms. Mittens for your suggestions. I thinks I'll do a short article on how one would do a security audit. I've already sent you a copy of what I've wrote so far but I'm not sure if you've read it or not.. After you've went over it tell me what you think and feel free to modify anything you see necessary.

    Hello Msm and Ennis!

Good day to you!!! I was wondering if I can discuss in the Web Development Section some tips and tricks in handling images, layout and color. The tutorial part on the other hand, is a sub-section on slicing images via photoshop.

    A blessed day to all!!!
