England, Germany,France,Russia:

In England, everything is permitted, unless it's illegal.
In Germany, nothing is permitted, unless it is legal.
In Russia, nothing is permitted, even if it is legal.
In France, everything is permitted, even if it is illegal.



Europe and America:

To Europeans, one hundred miles is a great distance.
To Americans, one hundred years is a long time.


and I saved the best for last:

Europe could be heaven on earth if organized like this:

Let the Germans be the engineers.
Let the English be the government.
Let the French be the cooks.
Let the Italians be the lovers.
And let the swiss be the bankers.

Reorganize them this way and have hell on earth:

Germans as government.
English as cooks.
French as engineers.
Italians as bankers.
And swiss as lovers!
