Anybody care about the Kissinger tapes?

Anyone interested in reading these transcripts. Keep in mind Kissinger didn't want these to be released until 5 years after his death. What kind of goodies do you think he's hiding in there?

I can't believe he is still around.

He is probably got much on the vietnam era in those tapes and no, I don't care - it's way before my time.

Maybe he'll disclose whether Al gore really invented the internet though.

There is a great book called "The Trial of Henry Kissinger" By Christopher Hitchens that explains why we should care about these tape....no one man has done more to hurt the image of the US worldwide thatn "DR" Kissinger....

Thanks for the link, looks like I have some reading tonight!

the_JinX - dutch people have as much right to speak their minds as anyone.

One small note of history which will not make you happier, wasn't it the british govt that allowed a nazi attack to go ahead so they would not find out the warcode was compromised?

One small note of history which may make you happier, wasn't it the canadian troops that rebuilt your country to a large degree.

I hope your faith can be restored in civilization because while there is bad, there is also good.

Here is a link to the website of the author, Christopher Hitchens....http://www.enteract.com/~peterk/

Some background - He is a US Cit. of British origins, a left wing (but not a nut) commentator, and resident of my home - DC.

    Hope this helps....

PS if anyone knows where you could get these transcripts or recordings of them online please post it...I might go over to the archieves next month, but it would be easier online

The transcripts have to be "looked over" first to see if there is any "sensitive" information in them. It should take a couple of weeks I'm sure before they are available.
