    unix help forums

    Hi All,
I have been using linux for a while now. I wanted to do some system programming in linux using c/c++ and shell scripting. I am looking for forums on the net which could answer my questions quickly and effectively. Any leads would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

When I had a .edu address I found what became google groups (http://google.com/grphp?hl=en) to be very useful. I especially liked comp.lang.c/c++. I typically recieved answers. I also found the blue book by Richard Stevens very useful along with the Lion book from O'reilly very useful.
