A must read.....
This si an open letter to President George W. Bush from Michael Moore. Michael Moore is a film maker, author and political activist. He does his homework, and has a way with words. Read it and see if you agree.

Mankind have a great aversion to intellectual labor; but even supposing knowledge to be easily attainable, more people would be content to be ignorant than would take even a little trouble to acquire it.

Nah. He makes some salient points but is incorrect in alluding to the dnc crew getting a pittance. The repubs and the dems got several million each from the enron boys club. Bill Clinton and his crew were in with them long before the current bush gang and deep at that.
The problem is big business is in deep with both parties so much that it is hard to pry them apart. It seems the politicians are enamored with the constant waves of financial favor that lap onto their beaches.
Only the greens are without the big donations these days.

Dubya was in bed with Enron way back in the day. Comparativley speaking the dnc got a pittance. This is all about the greed of a few men. Big Dick, Bush, etc. etc.
Nothing good will come from this. This is the true state of the Union.

It went into the pockets of the few at Enron who knew what was happening. That much you can be sure of. Somebody made a HUGE profit, but of course they'll keep it off the books just in case....

This sort of economic banditry has to stop. It is time for redress. There is an appalling lack of oversight from governmental bodies.

Buthead<Uh....You used dick and bush in the same sentence, ah hah ah hah.>
Bevus<Neah He Heh... Shut up buthead...Whack!...Eh he he>
Just had to say that. It reminded me of a Bevus and Buthead episode. LOL
Seriously though. Government will always be in bed with big business. They are the one's that pay their salleries when they get out of office (and sometimes while in office<grin>) ie... consultants snd so forth. Plus it helps them both get what they want while in office. Democracy is not a perfect system. But it's the best we have right now. Better to have this push pull ballance between them than to have a country ran only by a bunch of old fuddy duddy political persons.
