i would just like to personally atest to the fact that fortress is abslolute crap. any version can be broken in a matter of minutes, and it is insanely over priced. never had experiance with BID, but i havent heard great things. and this is from the POV of the former HS "semi-hacker" as the first post put it, i would avoid any popular counter-measures, cause with quick google search brings up step-by-step vunerabilities for them all.

You were considering fortres... 8*B@LL is right it is pure crap.... I installed fortress on my computer at home and it toook me 15 minutes to find and crack the password with full restrictions set on the system, fortreses problem is that it allows you to go to the fortres directory, even though you dont have read or write access you can still copy the password file.
