It won't be a next day or two thing like opensource software is. They will eventually get around to it in the next few months or so.
Look at how long it took them to get a patch for the first bugs out for XP, nearly 3 months.

As well, look at the last big deal with MS. The Windows2000 security rollout a couple of weeks ago. And, Windows 2000 has been out how long Mr. Bill Gates?

Today, I upgraded a copy of IE 5.0 to IE 5.5, read Apocalypse's post, and then d/l tle latest security patch.
