Look at that!! I'm in total agreement with my self. You know it's hard to lose an argument when you are the only one in the conversation. I need another beer. *hiccup* *hiccup*

If only I had the time to learn them all then I could make a good choice.
Think I'll go with c++ because it’s a very powerful language and is widely used.
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.

I like to Use the scripting languages as my favorites just because it's so much fun, but C++ is very hard but once you get a basic understanding with programming in C++ it makes all the other languages seem like child play. Visual Basic is my 3rd choice just because it's so easy to make Windows Applications, and the language behind it deals with objects in a very cool way, Java would be my next alot like C++ but can do different things that need to get done. Every language has it's advantages, I would learn C++ first then move to other languages.

Assembly errrr.... Cobol is the only procedure language I like, and I don't even like it that much.

I actually like COBOL, believe it or not. But Java would have to be my pick cos that's the language I know the most. Hopefully I'll have some patience and learn C/C++, as many of you have said it's your favourite.

I've answered other, because I find C/C++ the best all round programming language. However, in my opinion, Java's API is the most comprehensive around. In fact, if Java had been compiled to machine code, I'd probably use it exclusively.
