Wind0z ME
Is there a way to uninstall windows me when no other OS is on a box? I've searched the Wizard of Oz (google) and tried everything I have found. I have a copy of SuSE 7.2 w/manuals that id like to install and get rid of windows me completely.

Use format or fdisk, I would'nt reccomend fdisk if you are a newbie though... Its a bit faster though

Make a boot disk then restart your computer and type format c:
Warning mini rant about windows ME!
Windows ME was the worst peace of crap ever to come out of M$ never have I seen such a buggy os. If you encounter a computer with windows ME on it format the hard drive and install another OS Unix, Linux, Win XP, That OS you found on a disk behind you desk when you moved to a new office labeled (1983 Crappy OS). But what if it’s not my computer you say. Don't worry I've prepared a little script that should help you deal with this awkward moment.
Some guy: Hey who are you and what are you doing to my computer. Are you the new IT guy.
You: No I don't work here.
Some guy: Then what the hell are you doing to my computer.
You: I noticed that you had windows ME so I formatted you hard drive.
Some guy: [gets on phone and call security].
You: run like hell.
Its not software piracy. I’m just making multiple off site backups.

Thanks again for the help and yeah Souleman, installing SuSE delets the ME partition or asks if you want to. No more ME for me! Although, uh when I installed SuSE after formatting no modem or mouse was found LOL guess I gotta learn these things the hard way.
