Just to show my ignorance, I'll ask this question: how can a virus destroy a portion of the hard disk?
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

preacherman> well, now it can't really, but back in the day....
One of the things that used to be fun to do, but really expensive, was a pretty simple asm program. You could actually tell a harddrive to read sectors that didn't exist. So lets say your hard drive has 200 sectors. Now, you tell it to read sector 220. What happens? The arm keeps moving right past the platters and breaks. Well, now the drives are too smart for that. shows how much even simple technology can change.

I like Viruses and learning how to make them. They show a sort of brilliance and somtimes loop holes that haven't been noticed yet. I don't like being a victim or destroying others machines but making a successful viri, worm, or antype of malicious code is like an art. I'm not saying that somthing that formats your hard drive with a shell command is art. But polymorphisim is great to see.
