    Problem with Bess

    does anyone know how to override Bess? 4 those who don't know, Bess is a security thingy schools use to censor shtuff on the internet. i need to get past it for some stuff, so somebody help!!!

    yes i do, in fact i did work for my school, and i know the ins and out if bess. and no im not telling you how to get threw it, figure it out, that way youll at least LEARN!!!!

    School blocking software

    My school had a rather hyperactive blocking software package as well.

    I was asked by the techno-illiterate home-ec teacher to do some research for her on pollution.

    It took me roughly half an hour to find what she needed.

    I took me three hours to get around the stupid software to load the blasted site.

    To this day I am still not entirely sure what this filtering software was using as criteria to do it's blocking. There was nothing even remotely objectionable on the website. No smut, no swear words, no sex...nothing. The only thing I could think of is that the site was hosted on a server in Africa. Id on't know why that would be criteria, but that was the only thing unusual about the site.

    If I remember correctly in the end I finally used a mirror of a mirror of anonymizer to load the site. www.anonymizer.com. If the blocking software is smart, then it will block that direct addy, but there are mirrors upon mirrors that you can find to use, as well as many other anonymous websurfing products.

    Just go play on google. You'll find something.
