Netscape 7.0 not worth it...
I just downloaded Netscape 7.0 and it is the same exact thing as 6.0 but with a few additions, It installs AOL icons on your desktop and ads AOL to the trusted zone in IE properties.... Seconds after I uninstalled Netscape I take a look at my firewall logs (BlackICE Pro) and see about 20 lines of this
Code:
Time, Event, Intruder, Count
05/23/2002 17:09:35, HTTP GET data contains script, ads.web.aol.com, 6
05/23/2002 17:09:35, HTTP GET data contains script, ads.web.aol.com, 4
05/23/2002 17:09:24, HTTP GET data contains script, ads.web.aol.com, 1
05/23/2002 17:09:24, HTTP GET data contains script, ads.web.aol.com, 4
It turns out that AOL was trying to send me the .exe file to put itself into my trusted neighborhood and on my desktop..... Interesting....

HAHAHAHAHA. What a pile of crap. Nerdscape taking the big dive. I love it.
Now you too can have unstable-nasty-slow-web-browser-spyware installed on your system.
Thanks for the official review..

It's spelled N-e-t-s-c-a-p-e but it's pronounced Nut-Scrape.

IMHO the bad people at Netscape got it right with 4.7. After that the browser became a huge memory hog, slow to launch, slow to browse with a lot of extra features that just aren't needed. The word "bloatware" comes to mind......

NetScrape sux.... and im sorry to say this but so does Mozilla, i get pissed cus there are NO decent browsers for Linux, sure IE might have a few flaws but when it comes to compatibility its the BEST, i would think out of all the open source programs out there they would make a decent linux browser that worked well and was compatible with EVERYTHING that IE is compatible to.
