python programming
i heard that learning python as a first programming language was a good idea and that python was a good language over all. what does everyone think of this?

I thik its a very sry dessighned program but maby its because ive never under stood how to use it w/ only a dos prompt

It's a good one to start off with. But it's not the best programming langauge.

It's a good scripting language, okay for system administration although I rarely use it myself.
BTW, this should be in newbie questions, I was expecting a tutorial on python programming when I requested this thread.
