    U.S. vulnerable to data sneak attack

    Well this should lend a bit of reality to black hat activities.

    "A group of hackers couldn't single-handedly bring down the United States' national data infrastructure, but a terrorist team would be able to do significant localized damage to U.S. systems, according to a recent war games simulation.
    The United States Naval War College worked with Gartner Research to conduct a "digital Pearl Harbor" simulation last month, testing the U.S. response to attacks on telecommunications, the Internet, financial systems and the power grid. The analysts found that it would be possible to inflict some serious damage to the nation's data and physical infrastructure systems, but it would require a syndicate with significant resources, including $200 million, country-level intelligence and five years of preparation time."

    I don't believe it would take that much money to inflict collaterial damage, if one has the technology to develope a herf or emf pulse gun and a few car/vans and drive to the sites such as power plants telecomuncation and financial district and we'd be in a world of shite.

    Well lets see to build a herf or emf one would need money forst off there is the power issue of such devices takes lots of power and even if self contained generators cost money, as do cars, vans, food for people to live to carry out such things. Not to mention money for machined parts custom electronics nothing in life is free Nth Man.

    to generate an emf pulse that would take out a power plant would take all the power of the plant to run. a nutron bomb would be more economical.
