banananuts > first you need to download the appropriate client for your operating system which you can find by following the link below

    http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html

Once you have downloaded the right client, start the installer. You should be prompted for a Username and a Team Number. The Username can be anything, and the Team Number needs to be 11416. You also will be aksed some general system questions, along with how much priority you want the Folding client to have on you system, which I would advice to keep less than 50% just so you dont encounter lots of problems. If none of this helped, then go to the help page below.

You're not your post count, You're not your avatar or sig, You're not how fast your internet connection is, You are not your processor, hard drive, or graphics card. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of AO

    Yay! We're 213 in F@H now!

BTW, to get to the top 100 right now, we need to more than double our current score. By then, the other teams would rise up too, but I'm confident that we can outpace them if we have enough folders... Keep up the good folding!

Dominaterx: We're folding various proteins on our computers so that scientists at this university can find interesting ones to try in a real lab. They then publish results (on their website and magazines) so that everyone can learn/benefit. It is better to have the schools find it and keep it free (like Folding@Home) than a big company finding it with their own research and selling it to us...

It takes a while to get through your first full WU, so don't worry if it takes a day or two (or more). It usually takes me about 1.5-3 days to fold a 400 part WU on a P3 800 with 896MB/RAM. Then again, I run it about 24x7 at 100% and when I'm not home... My longest WU so far took about a week full time without me interrupting it at all...

ok....If I get this new machine I might be building, with about 1.4 GHz and 384 Mb ram, then I'll leave that online all the time...so I might join up we'll see what happens....
Cross you fingers and hope I can revive the Mobo...

Welcome Noia and all other who has joined Team AntiOnline.

I got curious to hear what kind of Folding monsters the team members have, I will start with my single and only mini-monster .

I am running Folding@home on one Dell Precision powered with a P4 2Ghz processor and 1024mb ram.
