Networking stuf

hi i was just wondering that is there any cool library specifically for networking on C++. the system call used for networking (source: beej) are a little cumbersome , is there any such thing specifically made for c++, what i actually mean is something like stdio to iostream migration, the whole new set of file/io handling in C++.
