    Cisco Console Question

    I just purchased a Cisco Catalyst ws-c1201 switch off of ebay. I check all the guides and made the proper cables for my device. My problem is that it uses the lpt1 port and then converts to an rj-45 jack. How would I go about accessing the console. Hyperterminal only lists my modem, com 1-4 and winsock as options for telneting. What kind of software should I have to access my switch?

    Sorry.. I dont' fully understand your problem from your description, but I assume you will want plenty of juicy info on that

    My problem is I need to find a software console utility that will let me connect to my admin port throught the lpt1 port. I already made the adaptors and cabling, but now need to get the software to allow me to connect to the admin/console port.
