i'm sure if there is something more specifiv you'd like to know, AO members would gladly answer...

maybe you need re-ask the question differently; how about "what linux is best for me"

unless all you really want to know is what is popular?
yeah, I\'m gonna need that by friday...

Whats the best version for networking and computer security?

not computer security as in hacking other peoples box's because everytime i mention somethin like that i get flamed!! i honestly am just using it for networking and cracking my own boxes for better security.

and plus i'll get negative antipoints for a stupid post. but i honestly am using it just to test the security of my own box.

"Whats your favorite version of linux (red hat, etc.....)?"

Slackware Linux I'm an OpenBSD user but when I install Linux on
any system this is what I install if it's a new server or a desktop
system for friends who want something very reliable and stable.
I'm serious I've installed it for friends who have been running it
for months no calls to come fix it no complaints about crashes
    minus one harddrive replacement.
