Kernel eth0 driver problem
Heya
I've got a problem on my eth0 card on my gentoo box... When I run from livecd it works, but after a boot without the live cd the eth0 doesn't come up.
Via the livecd a dmesg | grep eth gave me the following device driver : AMDtek Comet rev17.
Now I can't find that particular driver in the kernel.
Although Sitecom describes i should use the realtek module, it still doesn't work so i guess i need the AMDtek driver somehow.
Kernel is 2.4.20-gentoo-r5
Eth0-card is a Sitecom PCI 10/100 fast Ethernet
Does anyone know a related or the exact driver for this one in the linux kernel ?
Thnx

w0000t got mah Gentoo eth0 up, pfeeewww...
Got it up, I'll share the solution for maybe future use
Well , I loaded a new kernel for gentoo, the vanilla-sources ( it has more support). It has almost all support from the orignal 2.4.20 kernel. Anyway I had the support under network device support as i needed now, the tulip support.
Don't compile it as a module (M), so with an asterisk (*).
Do a new make dep, an rc-update, reset your lilo ( i have this boot loader) and reboot...
It was that simple but took me two days , LOL...
Hope it helps someone someday
