Kazaa Lite
Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with my recent download of Kazaa Lite v.2.1.0.
The problem is annoying and I am sure it is simple but I have never before used Kazaa so Im kinda worried. Firstly after about a minute of starting up it says
Kazza Lite has encountered a problem and needs to close...
Then for more info it gives and error signature
AppName: kazaalite.kpp AppVer: 2.0.2.0 ModName:KazaaLite.kpp
ModVer: 2.0.2.0 Offset: 0013803c
In the more technical detail it says this file will be included in the error report.
C:\DOCUME~1\Dave\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERD.tmp.dir00\appcompat.txt
I am completely at a lose as to what to do so please if you have any ideas or similar experiences let me know.
Thanks

I would uninstall it and then reinstall it if you are dead set on kazaa . I find kazaa to be fast but dirty. Its filled with fakes and viruses. For music soulseek is way, way, way better and for big files *mule or edonkey are excellent (slower than kazaa but nowhere near as many fakes ) on *nix nothing beats mldonkey.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Well I did uninstall and then reinstalled it and the same problem occurs that is why it is bothering me.
I want to see if it is a simple error before I decide to use a different program.

thedoors do you have a program on your PC that blocks spyware, since Kazaa will not work if any of it's spyware products are not functioning and that sucks.
I hope that helps. When you figure out the problem it would be wise to use another program because kazaa really sucks... or so I think.

Are you using the most recent version [K++Edition] version 2.0.3 ?
Do you also have Diet Kaza installed ?
Are you trying to install on top of a previous version ?
Looks like an application compatibility problem somewhere, what info from your appcompat.txt
file ?
cutty, there should be no spyware on K/Lite
Computer says no

thedoors sorry about my recent post, I had my mind set on kazaa and not kazaa lite.
As MemorY & jm459 stated kazaa lite has no spyware so I guess you can go with that. Again sorry for the misinterpretation.

Kaaza Lite is seems
Agree fully with lumpyporridge, although Emule can be reallllllllyyy slow. It takes a while to earn "points" to download from other users. Never used soulseek...
Wait - what am I doing here again? Talking about file-sharing! (But no sir, file-sharing ain't piracy)
