    Angry Porno Woes

    I have young children using my computer and some kind of script has been put on my machine. I think through Kazaa because everytime I connect to the internet with Kazaa running all of a sudden my computer automatically searches for porno and starts popping up all these windows with nasty pictures on them. Can anyone tell me how to stop this? My kids love to use kazaa.

    Adaware usually gets rid of all the crap that kazaa loads onto my computer. You can get it at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/. Many people would also recommend spybot search and destroy. You can get it here: http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10...ml?tag=lst-0-1 and it's not a bad idea to run *both* programs.

    If spybot or adaware doesn't do it go to http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ and dowload and run the program , DO NOT delete anything , just save the log and go to www.cexx.org and post the log on the message boards and the kind folks there will tell you exactly what you need to do , They are very helpful and knowledable in the field of spyware/adware/browserhijackers and such.

    Get kazaa lite after you get your little problem fixed-
    The new vers. has IP blocking - keeps you anonymous (no more RIAA concerns)

    Get it at http://www.kazaalite.tk/

    Ad aware solved the problem, but every time it scans it deletes files needed to run Kazaa.

    I'd agree. Ditch Kazaa, and get K++. It's the exact same thing, only with no spy or adware, and lots of useful additional features, like an AVI previewer, and options to crank your user rating to 1000.

    First do a full uninstall of Kazaa. Your saved files should remain untouched, but you can back them up, if you're unsure. Make sure to delete all of the Kazaa registry entries, and remove all of the Kazaa sw from your pc before doing a K++ install.

    You can get K++ here.

    First of all Harry=Pooper:
    I have young children using my computer
    My kids love to use kazaa.
    So it's not him/her that's using kazaa.

    Secondly, there are tons of legal uses for p2p software. All I use Kazaa for is transferring indie stuff by local artists. While I understand that most people d/l copyrighted material, not everyone does. You should seriously not post if you're just going to be a dick to people about whom you know nothing. For all you know, the kids transfer school pics over Kazaa due to e-mail attachment size restrictions.

    I'm not trying to ruin this thread by getting into a flame war, just putting in my $.02.

    You know, talk like that is a good way to give people a very bad taste in their mouths. I dont really know or care what you intended to do by blatently attacking someone asking for legit help but i do recommend that you keep such unhelpful, and downright hurtful opinions to yourself.

    I am just a sucker for moron trolls but, see the little bar that says "user tends to assign" , well if you assign almost always + the little blue marker goes to the right and also your point hits become less significant. Don't worry someone else will end your account for me. Go check out www.hackers.com there are tons of fellow children for you to play with. (at least until your mother tells you its time for bed)
