afaik vcd is mpeg (1) encoded video..

there is a .dat file (just check filesize, it's the biggest file on there)
rename it to mpg and you are done..

the .dat file is the actual mpeg movie !!

you mean that i just have to change to file extension? would it still have the same file size? i want to change them to mpeg files so they will have smaller file sizes..

    thanks for the links btw.

Then you'll have to convert them to a newer codex (divx or better yet xvid).. (smaller size, same quality)

They are allready MPEG (1) if you want them to be smaller the quality will decrease drasticaly !!
