Security with IE

I am haveing a problem with IE, for some reason my homepage keeps getting reset to a site that opens my cd drive and opens a text editor. I did not think much of it at first b/c i am behind a router, and norton firewall on my pc. I still dont think that i am as susceptible as the site says i am, but it has just gotten extreamly annoying.

not enough info ,what ver. of ie your are using which service packs you have installed,what is the site you are refferin to,......

version: 6.0.2800.1106.xpclient.010807-1148 it should be the latest, b/c my IE for some reason went to all german, so i d/l'ed the latest version off of microsoft. And the site it takes me to is something like http://default.webpage.com/...

have you checked your computer over with a virus and trojan scanner yet?
