Some guestbooks have the ability to record the IP addresses of whoever posts. Your guestbook may or may not have that.

    1. What guestbook software/site are you using?

After that, I can help you discover who it is, and how to legally handle it.

Can you be a bit more specific? What software did you use to create the guest book? Is it located on a free website? Did you write the html yourself or did you just use pre programmed addins for this? I am sure there is a way to find out where these posts came from if we could understand your enviroment better.
I have a question; are you the bug, or the windshield?

There you go. That is their report abuse page, in which you can report the topic, thread, etc and they will look into it immediatally. Good luck!

I looked at your host's website and I noticed an abuse report link, have you submitted one?

    Here is the link: http://members.freewebs.com/abuse.jsp

<edit> LOL I guess I was beat to it... at least I am happy someone else thinks like I do </edit>

yes report it there no need to go witch hunting for this rude guy. lets face it man u can do nothing by yourself . i mean suppose u got the IP then what ?(supppose he is using a dial up to his ISP and his IP address changes all the time) ok you use trace route . it's not at all reliable whenever i use it on my IP address it says i am in Southern part of Austrelia. the best bet is you report this at abuse report link on the site

But why really worry, it's only a freewebs site..
why don't you just try googling, or maybe visit this site and use one of there codes that you insert into the Html,

    http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/.../blockip.shtml
use this script, it might help you from blocking this person for awhile.

    cheers
