Norton Utilities not working in XP usr accts
Hi all, Ive searched this but can't find anything relevent. What's happening is norton pop-up blocker does not seem to be working in my kids user accounts in XP pro, they are getting tons of porn pop-ups, when I use the admin account I don't get any pop-ups, I can surf the net for hours and not see a single naked lady. If I log into one of the supposedly restricted user accounts it's not 5 minutes before the party starts, I had questions from my 10 year old daughter that I wasn't ready to answer yet. I log into Norton utilities and everything says on,
i.e.; ssecurity, firewall, av, pop-up blocker, etc. but it doesn't seem to stop anything in the user accounts and seems to do its' job in the admin account. Anybody have any ideas?

It probaly has to do with the limited account settings, try free panicware pop-up blocker, serves me well. http://download.com.com/3000-7786-10048866.html
and to prevent them from porn ads download ad-cruncher. http://www.admuncher.com/download.shtml

Or you could try using the Google tool bar that should work with all user accounts

I've had problems with that. At school I'm a restricted user, and am unable to install it. It seems to only install per profile? Anyone else have this problem?
As far as the popups... did you scan your PC for spyware? Could be profile based?
Just throwing out a couple of thoughts/ideas.

Ttau should be able to install it so it works on all accounts because he has access to the computer administrator account.

Sorry, I meant to say:
for toolbar.google.com
At school, I'm a restricted user, so I can't install it.
At home, I'm super user, so I can install it. BUT, when I logoff and onto another name, it isn't there. Unless that user is and admin, they can't install it.
I had to temporarily add them to the admin group and then remove them after the install.
