How can you catch a person who is hacking into your system using an Proxy server?
The person supposedly hacked into an online forum. Tried to trace the IP back but so far it leads to just the IP server. anyway, i can go beyond that to get this fool?

If he is a "hacker" he would probably connect to the forum using proxys/anonymous proxys/foreign proxys, so when people do check out the logs they will get the proxy server(s) address instead of his real IP address. He probably chained proxys. Are you the admin for the forum that was "supposedly hacked"? You should check out www.hackerwatch.org and report what ever information you have to them. Hope this helps, ComputerNerd22
