    Problem with downloader

For some reason when ever I resatart my computer I get certain websites added to my favirites list. Also it changes my home page. I ran a virus scan and it dosent appear to be a virus or adware. Can anyone help me please. Its weird and this has never happened to me before. Can this be trojan horse of some kind.

Any help would be appreciated....Thanx in advance.
O yea does anyone know how to change the right click links when you click on a website.

\"Look, Doc, I spent last Tuesday watching fibers on my carpet. And the whole time I was watching my carpet, I was worrying that I, I might vomit. And the whole time, I was thinking, \"I\'m a grown man. I should know what goes on my head.\" And the more I thought about it... the more I realized that I should just blow my brains out and end it all. But then I thought, well, if I thought more about blowing my brains out... I start worrying about what that was going to do to my goddamn carpet. Okay, so, ah-he, that was a GOOD day, Doc. And, and I just want you to give me some pills and let me get on with my life. \" -Roy Waller

Ad-Aware and Spybot search and destroy will solve your problem.

HiJack this can cause you problems if you delete the wrong entry and wouldnt recommend it for someone who dosent know what they are doing.

Somehow ad-aware misses.. try Spybot Search and Destroy (as mentioned by slick 8790). I personally use these two! There are spywares spybot can get rid of which ad-aware cannot and vice versa.
These hijacking problems are very common when you visit porn sites...(so i guess if you dont want to be hi jacked avoid these pornsites!)
Try hijackthis (as mentioned again by slick 8790) to prevent hijack from taking in the first place!(its a freeware)
Also ever heard of anti trojans? The Cleaner by Moosoft is a good one!

What website does it change your default home page to? This can greatly help us identify exactly what program is executing the changes. A friend of mine just went through the CoolSearch dilemma where it did the same thing. In any event, try Spybot like the others said. I doubt you'll have a problem with your web settings changing from this trojan/spyware anymore.

The website that they change it to is Nova****.com. Why I don't know it frekin stupid. I was kidding with the whole I have low gigis thing. And yes I can tell the difference between GB from MB. Again I was just kidding. But thanks for the information I will be sure to either download spybot or hijackthis. Just out of curiousity which one is better.

    Thanx Bye

They are different applications.... Hijack this displays start up keys in your registry, and you can manually delete them. Be careful..

Spybot compares registry keys, among other things, to an updatable database, and lets you decide if you want to delete them.... it work more like an antivirus. Spybot also has a feature called "immunize" which blocks against spyware listed in it's database.
