If you want to learn how to Hack in a bad way, so called cracking , this site is not for you. Yes we got some "1337" tools in the Download archhieve but they are to be tested on your machine ONLY, and to learn how they work so you can stop crackers if they start harassing you. I suggest you read the FAQ first and see if this site is for you.

MemorY is going to start a revolution, from now on every newbie who posts about hacking we should not neg, we should just point them in the right direction. And I am being serious too. I don't think it is fair to just neg someone on their first post. Just tell them to read the faq and try to set them straight. Imagine if we turned everyone who came to this forum asking how to hack hotmail or how to turn their computer on into a security guru, and they in turn turned someone else into a security guru. Soon everyone would be a security guru and we will no longer have to worry about viruses or trojans or computers being broken into, because they will all be secure. If you have seen pay it forward, this probably wouldn't work, but hey, you never know until you try.

hacking is the passion for learning everything about a subject. What you are talking about is skript kiddieism. Basically you will want to grab any book you can find about a subject you are interested and never stop learning about it. You will also want to learn by experience not just reading. For instance if you like computers set up a network with many diff computers with many diff operating systems on those computers. Then just type away learning as you go. Customize and mess with everything. If you screw it up you can reinstall and start over learning from your mistake. If you can't afford multiple computers just use one and do the same thing. Get some friends and play games trying to break into each others computers. Most of all have fun, don't become a zombie like me who sits on AO all day and doesn't experience real life.

AO has endless resources to tap into to learn about everything from unix systems to the intricacies of wireless routers to installing personal firewalls to peer to peer applications. to learn about such things as "hacking". i am still a newbie myself, and if its one thing i have learned from delving into the security world, you have to read alot, and when i say alot i mean your gonna be reading and read and reading untill your eyes bleed, there is so much information you have to get a general knowledge of many things before you can just be a hacker or a security expert or a network administrator. so my suggestion, goto the tutorials section and start readin heres a good link to start on http://www.antionline.com/showthread...hreadid=133897

as far as tools go i suggest you try looking at the tools you already have on your computer such as "netstat" and "telnet" (those are all in the link i provided)
i think of my computer as a extension of myself when i am using it. you must learn all you can about its capabilities before you can know the full extent of what it can do for you.
take a look through that link and spend a good few hours just cruisin i gurantee you will learn much

Yes The Specialist that is the case, but some people here have something to offer and i too am getting annoyed by people with these threads but still try to be polite. I mean what should you do when you come to a site? RTFM. or FAQ in this case. AO should put a sign on tha main page. If you don't read the FAQ prepare to get banned or something.

btw: I aint 13 and dont look to get a name, and I aint a middle aged man in front of a screen. I hope when i become a middle aged man i'll see the computer only at work and when i'm at home i'll be with my MemorY Juniors and Ms. MemorY.

Well yes, unfortunaly many newbies on AO are just wanting to know a couple of codes to paste in comp. class to look cool and maybe get a detention for getting into the teachers computer, but some of those 13/16 kids your calling losers actually want to learn about programming and computer technology, so go ahead and complain about those who deserve it but dont put everybody in the same place, because some of us are more intrested into why when you put a certain amount of letters or numbers it makes the machine do this or that.

I agree that the term hacker is overused and means everybody able to go around the smallest program, but the difference you have to understand is that some teens actually have a sence of logic and inisiative and want to work in computer technology.
