Perl Security
I have a question to all you good security people out there. I am making a secure area on my site and I found this PERL script already wrote it utilises (sp) .htaccess files with DES randomised salt encryption for the passwords. It looks pretty nice. Here is the link, I just basically would like to know how easy it would be to hack somthing like this, or would it take some skill. Here is the link Perl Lite
Thanks,
Adiz

.htaccess has nothing to do with perl and everything with Apache. It looks like it's just a script to make administration of .htaccess a bit easier.

SirDice - I know the concept behind the .htaccess file and the way it works with apache server. I have implemented this technology before. I was simply saying it utilizes it the .htaccess files.
I feel somewhat leary of this program but I was hopeing you get the AO communities input on this program and how secure it really is.
Thanks, for the reply sir.
Thanks,
Andrew

Ah. That wasn't really clear from your previous post
I haven't looked at it yet but if you don't feel comfortable with it, don't use it.
Only use the programs/tools you know and/or feel confident with.
