    Question About hacking

Somebody told me that my emails were not answered because his email add had been hacked and he cannot access it.I have a hard time believing it,I think its a lie.I don't have enough knowledge about computers or about hacking a person's email .What do you think about this.

I've moved this from Microsoft Security to Miscellaneous Security.

It is possible that if his password has been changed he may be locked out of his email (is this a web-based email like hotmail or yahoo?). Anything is certainly possible. How did he tell you that his email was "hacked".

One more thing I know he was online as viewed in the personal profiles in yahoo IM a day after he told me his email had been hacked.

He was able to get on to Yahoo IM? Well, I guess it's still a possibility. If his email was "hacked" and the password changed he might have been able to file a complaint with Yahoo Abuse and they may have reset it. It is possible that whoever "hacked" (cracked probably a better word) his email may have had a malicious intent and deleted any and all emails sent.

Hmm....well have the guy try to get into his email again, and have him make sure that his caps lock is not on.

    pearl,

I think that you have already formed an opinion?

Why don't you two just create two new e-mail accounts that only you two know?

But that is not the problem I feel?

    To be very blunt:

This is a security site, NOT marriage guidance?

    Cheers
