new to programming

I just started getting interested in C++ especially for the use of making programs for linux. The only problem I haven't been able to find any good tutorials or anything of the such. I was just wondering if anyone had any good links to some actually good tutorials? I know there might already be a thread on this but I felt i would just ask, thanks

Also try reading a book by Orielly, they are really good at making things clear. They write really good books.
