    Bypassing sonicWALL

Before anybody says I am trying to crack or do something negative, dont. I am saying this in advance, and ask oyu to hear me out. recently, my school has put up a firewall on all of the computers which clocks certain sites. the first thing they do is ban a lot of bad websites (you know what I am talking about). I had no objections because I do not like thsoe websites any way. the the second thing they do is begin to block all of the very popular gaming websites. I didnt like this, but i beared with it. recently, the school has gone as far as too ban this website along with many other websites about news, such as cnn.com and a couple of linux websites. Now this something that I personally can't live with, knowing that my school is blocking many websites that protect free speech and the such. I have had numerous talks with the teachers, and they still would not unblock any of the websites. I am hoping that somebody out their might be able to help me when it came to trying to unblock websites from sonicWALL, the firewall system my school has set up. If you have any suggestions or information on bypassing sonicWALL, I would love to hear it.

heh. my high school does this too. to bypass it you use something called a HTTP CGI proxy. theres are TONS of CGI proxies, and it'd be extremely tedious (nearly impossible) to track down every single proxy out there and put it on the black list. My favorite one is http://www.pureprivacy.com. If Also try https://www.megaproxy.com if that doesn't work. if you want a list of proxies go here: http://www.nuclear-diagnostics.com/C.../Proxies/Free/

If you're school is so strict that it won't let you search for proxies, just mail me and ill give you a list. Also if you want to check out BBS's, MUDs, or use any of your *nix/VMS shells, a lot of sites allow webSSH and webtelnet. Get an account at http://m-net.arbornet.org (FreeBSD) or http://deathrow.vistech.net and check it out.

I would be very careful. I personally know of two kids who were expelled from the local highschool for tampering with the computer. I am not sure of all the details but I would just be careful don't screw yourself.

    Have fun though!

Why does everybody want to bypass their school's restrictions, just limit yourself to what does is possbile at school and do the rest at home.
The above sentences are produced by the propaganda and indoctrination of people manipulating my mind since 1987, hence, I cannot be held responsible for this post\'s content - me

Because you can't be 1337 at home...

You think it's some kind of political statement to bypass the school's restrictions? So say by some stretch of the imagination you do figure out what to do... you're gonna get caught, then your gonna get expelled or suspended... now that's making a statement.

How do I know you're gonna get caught? Because you haven't even figured out what this site is about yet, I doubt you can comprehend what it is you want to do. By the time you actually understand, you'll be a graduate.

Now this something that I personally can't live with

Is this true? Can you really bypass a SonicWALL with these methods? I'm running two SonicWALLS here and carefully blocking employees from certain sites (i.e. personal webmail), so if this is possible...I need to know how to make it NOT possible.

    Looking for the exit...

Does anyone know of a CGI proxy that will allow javascript? I would like to be able to access my hotmail account, cuz I can send larger attachments, but my school has blocked all "public" email servers. Any suggestions?
