    Question Source code

Ok, i have a couple questions that might not make a whole lot of sense the way they come out. How can one find the source code of a simple .exe? and how is there a place to go to decipher what language it is if i am not certain? Also, where can i get a reliable disassmbler? Hope you can help me.

I beleave in languages like VB you can just open it up under a hex or text editor and there will be a small text string that says something along the lines of VB.6 or VB.5 Also what you want is called a "Decompiler" which will attempt to bring some things back into source form though not always everything.

Disassmbler cost alot of money and need very good horsepower to run. It's impossible for most users to own them.
