Hi all.

I'm looking for an OS...

I want something that is NOT compatible with anything else.... I dont' want it to be able to run any office suites, or anything like that. I do however, want it to play some sort of solitare.

This will give me more of a reason not to get anything done...

There is an OS I have been looking into more and more that doesn't even currently have a GUI and is written mostly in assembler. You might want to look for that....If I could figure out what in the hell it's called again.

You might like to look at the RISC OS? It was pretty good for process control and managing scientific equipment/data analysis so it would handle solitaire.

Because it was not for finance/commerce boxes, it should meet the incompatibility requirement.

AFAIK there are only 114 viruses in the world that run on it, so if you wrote another you would be instantly 1337

They are HELL to fix. In a monolithic kernel, the kernel is one peice. A Micro kernel is like....A Bunch of servers that talk back and forth to each other. If you look at one, you'll be like, hmm, what the hell does this do? Does it talk to this program or this one? Hmm...

Nasty ****. GNU OS is Micro, I believe Hurd is, Linux and BSD are not.

Micro Kernels are kind of like a network of code. Communicating the information needed to run. Like a WINDOWS NETWORK. If one part goes down..... Heh.
