Need Memory?
Hello fellow members of antionline.com I need some advice I have an old Gateway Pentium2 331 mhz 4mb video card. 64 MB or ram. 6gb hardrive. Operating system is Windows XP Professional. My system runs a little slow and I want to make it faster. I have some extra cash (225) and I want to upgrade my current box. I know I need some type of memory to make my system run faster, also recommend a cheap video card to upgrade to for under 200? Thanks computernerd22

hmmm to me it sounds like a bad dicision...it would be better if you just get a new PC for like $500? then you could also have a home network and your new pc would be lots lots better than the one you have now....better graphic card, hard disk, memory, processor
thats what i would do....its not good to upgrade old machines, only if you have lots of money

although SK has a point I can't entirely agree with him - you can learn a lot about your machine by upgrading components rather than just buying a new machine. Of course it also depends upon what you want to use the machine for.... gaming for example is always going to need top kit.
However you could do worse than taking a look here to begin with -

In MY view, your machine is too old to consider update worthfull. I would wait a bit more and buy a new computer.
