Just wondering.
Hell0 0ne and all.
I was just wondering, if there is any rule on what Forums you CAN and CANNOT post in.
well basically i just wan't to know if i'd be breaking the rules if i only posted the General Discussion Forum?
Or would i be breaking the rules if i only posted in the Security Related Area?
I have looked through the FAQ, but unless i missed something, or have missunderstood something, then this should not be against the rules
Anyhow i'd appreciate ALL answers, as this has really got me confused..

Hi,
If you are not allowed to post, the system will tell you
Just try to pick the right forum for your topic, General Chit Chat is usually a safe bet if you are not sure.
Cheers

There are no rules in regards to which forums you post in. Some members get kinda annoyed if you spent all your time cutting and pasting jokes in the Tech Humor section (I suspect because a lot of the jokes have little to do with Technology). That said, there is an "unspoken" rule that I try to encourage (albeit with some luck): if you post in security related forums, try to ensure that the post is actually related to security. Otherwise, stick it in the appropriate non-security related forums.
If you're unsure, do a best guess. I'll probably find it at some point and if necessary move it (try not to be too offended if I do that -- it's just to keep the focus on security in the appropriate forums). Some posts are iffy so sometimes they are left in the original forum and moved later if the discussion turns away from security. And vice-versus.
I hope that helps.
And Weclome!

Security related posts go in the Security forums, general chit chat in the general forum. Try and match the forum to your topic or question. (e.g. Virus questions/topics go in the Antivirus forum, pretty simple).
If you miss-post a Mod can/will move it for you.
