    Disabling Windows Commands

    hello I have a win98 machine and I want to disable certain commands such as /run and securing system folders such as /windows how should I do that? And one more thing How should I disable the msdos prompt and disabling the Menus in IE.Anybody who can help me will be forever in my debt. Thanks!

    hi
    Windows registry holds the key to all your questions.you will have to tweak the registry for these options. you do this at your own risk, before you do try this stuff backup the registry just in case.

    You can either disable them....or delete them alltogether..

    for instance..ping is located in the system32 directory..delete ping.exe and it won't function..
    Signature image is too tall!
