router advice needed

i am setting up a server with some files for my friends
the problem is that my belkin wireless router wont let outside connections in even then the DMZ option
so im making a server with a spare computer and some 10/100 nics
im going to use redhat9
also i want to set up a printer on it that everyone can recognize
and i want to continue using my wireless router for the laptops in the house

over all in text document included


goals

server reachable by outside comps
keep wireless internet

questions
will the above setup work
will it slow down are cable connection extreamly bad by doing this

Did you try the port forwarding option on your router, and did you try playing with your firewall settings?

I'm sure you can use your wireless router as a switch for your other machines.

i did everything i could
port fowarding didnt work
dmz did nothing
with i messed with my NAT and firewall settings we lost our internet connection
i upgraded our firmware
